I'm also excited about opportunities to minister the Word for Megumi Baptist Church (MBC) in Tama and Bethel Baptist Church (BBC) in Iwatsuki on 6/8 and 6/15 respectively. I included a short video below from last summer's Nippon Initiative ministry at Bethel, where Pastor Joe and Noney Mita serve.
Now here's the most pressing prayer request of all — I just received word via email that a non-Christian family many of us have been praying for is planning to attend the service at Bethel on 6/15. I hesitate to include their names in this post, but please pray anyway for the Lord to open their hearts to the Good News. I have shared with the husband once before, so the possibility of his returning to hear more is exciting. If you wish to pray during the actual time of the service, the time here in the States will be 9:30-11:00 p.m. EST on Saturday night, 6/14. Pray for the Lord to continue preparing their hearts. Pray that they will follow through and attend. And pray for the Lord to bring them to faith in Him.
On Sunday night, 6/8, a couple days before the conference begins, the plan is to head to SYME in Karuizawa to visit staff and students. A staff meeting is scheduled for Monday to talk over some things we'll all be doing this Fall by way of outreach. Please continue to pray for the SYME staff. They labor well and with distinction in their ministry to the students.
Also, Sam Froese from Hamilton Hills will be traveling with me on this trip. Sam will be staying at SYME when I head to the conference at BBC in Iwatsuki. Sam will be installing some much needed network equipment for us in the SYME building. We are asking the Lord for some clear weather, since some of the work will be outdoors.
Late afternoon on 6/15, I'll travel to South Korea for a few days to meet with WOL staff. Sam will head home at that time, with my return scheduled for Wednesday, 6/18.
Finally, we also appreciate your faithful financial support of our ministry! It's what allows us to serve on trips like this.
If you are interested in serving with us financially, there are several ways to do it. The principle way is through Word of Life Fellowship, International, PO Box 600, Schroon Lake, NY 12870. Gifts should be marked with the code 07118S to be credited to our work. It is also possible to give online @ https://give.wol.org/specifyamount/Randy+Gilmore+07118S.
It is also possible to give through the Nippon Initiative @ https://secure.qgiv.com/for/nim/. The costs of this particular trip are being borne by the Nippon Initiative. Gifts of any size will be greatly blessed. Even something as simple as sharing the cost of a lunch each month (about $8) will help.
If you are unable to give financially, no worries! Your participation through prayer also means the world to us!
