Dale and I, along with our entire family, would like to thank everyone at Hamilton Hills for making our ministry celebration and commissioning so special and memorable. We have been truly blessed by all of the expressions of love and appreciation for the ministry we had together for the last 20 years. We were so pleasantly surprised by all of the cards, the generous love offering from the church, and the gifts from the Church Leadership Team!
At times like these, many fond memories come parading past our minds. The most precious to us in this case are those moments we shared interacting with you and your family personally, sometimes in your home, sometimes at special events such as births, weddings, graduations, and funerals, sometimes at the hospital, sometimes at the church, and sometimes out in the community when our paths crossed. And for so many, there were also times we served side by side here locally or in some other part of the world to reach people for the Lord. As we think of these things, the words of the Apostle Paul directed to the Thessalonians come to mind: "So, being affectionately desirous of you, we were ready to share with you not only the gospel of God but also our own selves, because you had become dear to us" (1 Thessalonians 2:8).
Many have asked for our contact information and how to stay up to date on what the Lord is doing through us in our new ministry with Word of Life. One possibility will be through this blog: http://pastorrandysblog.blogspot.com. This blog and Facebook will be two of our primary ways of communicating what's happening. Dale's primary way for sharing will be on Facebook.
We also will have a ministry page on the Word of Life website. When that page becomes operational, we'll let you know here on Pastor Randy's Blog. The Word of Life page will also provide detailed information on how to support us financially, should the Lord lead in that way.
Yet another way we will stay in touch will be through the Nippon Initiative website (http://nipponinitiative.org).
We invite you to bookmark these sites or subscribe to the rss feeds.
Dale and I will also continue to use our hamiltonhills.org email addresses, which are simply a combination of the first letter of our first name followed by our last name@hamiltonhills.org.
We know the Lord will bless Hamilton Hills in the days ahead! We were excited to hear that Pastor Ron McDugle will be serving as interim pastor. We also have full confidence in Pastors Doug, Adam, and Jeremy as they also continue to serve. In fact, the entire church staff, including Michelle Kosegi and Mary Pittman, are worthy of your prayers and support. The same is true for the entire Church Leadership Team. All are serving the Lord with distinction!
Finally, we covet your prayers as we represent the Lord and Hamilton Hills to various places in Asia over the next few years. We count it a privilege to be sent out by you, and we pledge to serve with the Lord's honor and glory in mind!
Thanks again to everyone who made are send off such a blessing!
Warmly in Christ,
Pastor Randy and Dale, and Elliott
